Horse & Farm Sitting

Horses, Alpacas & Other Farm Animals

Friends, family members & neighbors mean well. But do they have the knowledge & experience to spot the beginning of an illness? Or will they know how to treat an injury, or know when it’s necessary to call the vet? Our Horse & Animal Specialists are highly trained, and have a combined level of expertise. Including formal education working with veterinarians, and trainers. Lifetime ownership, showing, hunter jumper. Caring for wild horses. Ownership & aid to other large & farm animals.

Maybe your day doesn’t allow you to go home for that near impossible to get farrier. Or you need someone to hold your horse for the vet. Give us a call.

Rates:

$25 per 30 minutes
$30 per 60 minutes
$75 per overnight Appx: 8:00 P.M. – 6:00 A.M. (In most instances includes AM & PM feed.)
Actual cost of services may vary depending on type or amount of services needed and location. Larger facilities, more then 6 horses/animals a customized & final quote will be given at free consultation.
Larger facilities, more then 6 horses/animals a customized & final quote will be given at free consultation. Rates for larger facilities and long term service contracts (if you are gone more then 4 days) will be quoted per contract not per hour.

Includes:

Feed, fresh water, and treats
Supplements or meds in food
Dressing/Bandage changes
Daily basic grooming & application of fly/pest repellent
Turn out/in
Holding for vet/ferrier/masseuse/chiropractor etc….
Overnight visits include a late night check (12:00 A.M.) for all horses.
Care to all other pets
Plant watering - limited
Mail and newspaper pickup
Reversing lights and drapery
Taking trash and recycle bins to the curb and back

Additional Services:

Stall & pen cleaning . Rates vary depending on requirements of clients. Fees can be included in hourly rate or may require a personalized quote. Our horse & farm Specialists are experienced at driving tractors and other farm equipment.
Emergency services available for $45 per hour. Please call with any questions.

Household Pets

We can take care of your pet(s) while you're away during the day or overnight.

At The S.P.A.H. feeding of birds & fish is not counted in the number of pets the client has. Most of the time House Sitting rates apply, fish & birds are fed at no additional charge. Cage or tank cleaning of any pet is extra & will be determined at first free consultation visit.

Each visit lasts 25-35 minutes & includes:

Loving and playing with your pet(s)
Feeding

Changing cat litter weekly
Walking and exercising dogs

Daily Dog Walking

A Specialist visits your home and takes your canine family member(s) out for exercise and a potty break.

Our best deal: 5 walks per week, for up to 2 dogs is $10 per walk.

Clients who live far distances within our service area, or extensive service needs may require different rates.

A one time accumulation service is available: Rates start at $30.00 for one time clean up.

Rates are based on average size yard. There will be a minimum $30.00 First Time Clean-up fee. If the yard is large or it takes more than one hour to perform the first time clean-up, there will be an additional charge of $25.00 for each additional half hour we are there. If there is no serious accumulation; the first time clean-up fee may be waived. Prices do not include tax.

House Sitting

Don't have any pets?

Having a “Home Specialist” visit your house/property provides security against break-ins & vandalism when you are away.

Do you have Fish or Birds? Most of the time House Sitting rates apply, and no additional Pet Sitting rates are charged

Rates:

$12 up to 30 minutes
$20 per 60-minute visit
$40 overnight appx. 10pm to 5am.

Bird & Fish Feeding
Mail and newspaper pick up
Indoor Plant watering
Reversing lights and drapery
Walking around and checking that all is in good order, indoors and outdoors
Security monitoring at time of visit
Limited outdoor plant watering

Please take into consideration, at the beginning of our professional affiliation our Specialists may need more time then you require in caring for your animals & home. We want to make certain your needs are followed to your specifications.

There is a Holiday surcharge fee of $10.00 per day on the following Holidays. New Years Eve, New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
